For the month of October, Washington County hotels are holding steady, as the rebound from record lows in 2020 continues. Overall, hotel occupancy for the month of October 2021 was 62.3%, average daily room rates were $113.53 and revenue per available room increased to $70.76.
While we are steadily improving our year-over-year numbers, it is essential to review pre-pandemic performance to gauge our overall performance.
As the following table illustrates, Washington County hotels are about 14% below occupancy levels of that same month in 2019. Average daily room rates (ADR) are down about 6%, when compared to 2019.

For calendar year 2021, through the month of October, Washington County hotels are slowly rebounding to pre-2020 levels. Currently, hotel occupancy rates are 17% below 2019 rates. Average daily rates are down nearly 14% for the year-to-date, compared to 2019.
