Washington County’s hotels are slowly rebounding from COVID-related downturns in 2020. Occupancy levels for the month of April are more than double than occupancy one year ago, and average daily room rates (ADR) are improving, as well. Looking at the year to date, occupancy levels for the first four months of the calendar year have increased by more than 11%, while ADR is still below 2020 levels for the same time frame. According to the latest census from STR, Washington County has 57 hotels/motels and 5,745 rooms. While Multnomah County has the largest number of hotel rooms in the state (158 properties and 16,973 rooms), Washington County has the second largest number of hotel rooms in the competitive set, which includes Clackamas, Lane, Marion and Multnomah counties.
