Hotel Performance March 7-13, 2021

Washington county Hotels COVID-19

COVID-19 has directly affected the hotel industry throughout the United States, and Washington County is no exception. We are still seeing decreases directly tied to the decrease in business and leisure travel due to COVID-19 and related travel restrictions and recommendations.

For March 7-13, 2021, Washington County’s hotel occupancy averaged 49.9%, a 4 % decrease from the same period in 2020. The average daily room rate (ADR) during the same period was $88.30, an 19.3% decrease from the same period last year.

The following graphs illustrate the weekly occupancy and ADR trends from December 26, 2020, to March 13, 2021. The slight increase during the week ending February 20, 2021, is directly related to the snow and ice storm in the Portland Metro Region, as those who lost power for long periods stayed in Washington County hotels.
