Hotel Performance January 10-16

Hotel washington county

COVID-19 has directly affected the hotel industry throughout the United States, and Washington County is no exception. This time of year traditionally is a “soft” period for area hotels. However, we are still seeing decreases directly tied to the decrease in business and leisure travel due to COVID-19 and related travel restrictions and recommendations.

For January 10-16, 2021, Washington County’s hotel occupancy averaged 43.5, a 32.1% decrease from the same period in 2020. The average daily room rate (ADR) during the same period was $85.45, an 25.8% decrease from the same period last year.

The following graphs illustrate the weekly occupancy and ADR trends from October 31, 2020 to January 16, 2021.
